The Biggest Playstation 3 Rumors For 2010

When it comes to Sony’s flagship electronic entertainment product, Playstation 3 rumors are just as big and as exciting as actual Playstation 3 news.  This is because Sony has a history of wanting to please its loyal fan base.  In Sony Land, rumors have a higher likelihood of becoming reality.

So, what are the biggest Playstation 3 rumors for 2010?

1.  The PS3 slim.  Of all the Playstation 3 rumors, this is the most verifiable.  Leaks of images involving a slimmer, smaller Sony Playstation 3 leaked online right before the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2009, the biggest video game trade exhibit today.  Many believed that the PS3 slim would be unveiled at E3.  E3 has come and gone and Sony has kept mum on the veracity of the PS3 slim.  Is it a fact?  Or is it mere speculation?  Smart money is on the former.

So, how big of an improvement is this Nintendo DS Light over the original Nintendo DS?

Furthermore, do these improvements justify purchasing the Nintendo DS Light even if you already own the original Nintendo DS?

Top 4 Exclusives That Define The Nintendo DSi

The number one selling point of the Nintendo DSi isn’t the new features that were added to the unit.  The number one selling point of the Nintendo DSi is, and will always be, the list of exclusives that will only appear on a Nintendo console.

Below are the top 4 exclusives that will carry the Nintendo DSi to amazing heights of success:

1.  Mario.  If video game is to be assigned a mascot, it should be Mario.  It would be a crime to promote another character to be the ambassador of electronic entertainment.  Mario is the most recognizable figure in the video game industry.  Every Mario title that is released is a cause for celebration, and the Nintendo DSi is one of only two current generation video game systems that will serve as homes for this digital superstar.  With games like New Super Mario Bros., Mario & Luigi, and Mario vs. Donkey Kong, not to mention the other titles where the affable plumber makes a cameo, we can say that the Nintendo DSi has been blessed with a gracious serving of Mario madness.

3 Ways To Win Nintendo DSi Before Christmas Of This Year

The Nintendo DSi is a wonderful upgrade to the company’s flagship portable gaming system.  However, it is quite expensive at $139.99 SRP.  This has led many people to look for opportunities that will help them win Nintendo DSi unit for free.

Below are 3 such methods that can help you win Nintendo DSi:

1.  Join contests.  This is, without a doubt, the most popular way to win Nintendo DSi.  However, this offers the least chances of actually winning.  Never think that you’re the only one who’ll enter an online or an offline contest to win Nintendo DSi.  There will be hundreds, if not thousands, of other avid gamers who want to have the chance to score a Nintendo DSi for themselves.  You’ll have better chances of winning if the contest is skills-based or talent-based, such as a writing competition or other events that require the exercise of one’s creativity and artistic gifts.  This way, your fate will be in your hands.

The Nintendo Revolution Is Dead Long Live The Nintendo Wii

The Nintendo Revolution – it could have been a catchy name for the company’s newest console.

It would have been very appropriate as well, given Nintendo’s new philosophy of changing how the game is played.  For this generation of consoles, Nintendo has abandoned the conventional belief that good graphics and excellent game play will sell gaming systems.  Instead, Nintendo has adopted the policy that, for the gaming industry to move forward, games and gaming systems must be able to get non-gamers into gaming.

This means a change in the way that games are designed.  Games should be powered by gaming systems that are friendly for entry-level enthusiasts.  Do away with the multiple buttons of controllers.  Make the player’s own action control the events in the game.  Make the player himself as the controller.

5 Ways To Get A Discount Wii Console

Planning to buy a Nintendo Wii?  Believe it or not, many people are excited to get their hands on this generation’s runaway leader in the current console wars.  However, most of them would rather wait for the right opportunity when a discount Wii console would be presented before them.  The $249.99 SRP, as of this writing, isn’t what we can call as “cheap,” after all, especially in the present economic climate.

Are you one of these people who are on the lookout for discount Wii consoles?  Here are 5 ways that will allow you to enjoy fantastic savings when purchasing a Nintendo Wii.

1.  Buy second hand.  The easiest way to get a discount Wii console is by looking for people who want to sell their used consoles.  There are many places where you can find such sellers.  Auction sites like eBay and Yahoo! Auctions are excellent destinations.  The classified ads section of your local dailies is another.  Buy and sell forums can be fertile sources of potential sellers as well.  Online classifieds like GumTree and Craigslist host hundreds of ads selling second hand discount Wii consoles.  The goal is to find a good deal, and a good deal means: a) a used Wii that is still in good condition (take into consideration the length of ownership, the frequency of usage, and the environment where the system was used); and b) a great price (50 % to 70% off would be an excellent tradeoff for the market devaluation of the used console).
