PSPS Go

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

The PSPS Go is the latest version of the widely popular portable gaming system from Sony Entertainment. This isn’t really a new concept or drastic upgrade from the traditional PSP, however. The only real difference is the fact that it is much smaller and lighter in the hands than the old PSP system. There is also the fact that it doesn’t have the traditional UMD drive so you won’t be able to play any games that you already have for the PSP on your new Go system. This is upsetting for some gamers, although this decision has upped the battery life a bit.

While the PSPS Go hasn’t changed too many things as far as the controls go, there is an updated online ability that the older PSP would have loved to get a hold of. By offering the games online for easy download, you save yourself from having lug around all those game discs with you every time you go somewhere. It also sports a fairly good 16GB hard drive so that you can store everything you need right in the PSPS Go; of course, you can still use the Micro Stick card if you happen to need the extra storage capability.

One option that seems to have made the PSPS Go a popular hit is the fact that you can download and watch television shows and movies straight to your system without having to go through the PC or PS3 system. Cutting these out of the middle means that you can get your media while you are on the go instead of having to transfer everything over to it before you go out. This will give you a greater ability to take the system with you when you don’t have the time to sit down and make your transfers.

Monday, January 10th, 2011

If you own a PSP Go and are looking for a PSP Go update, the best place to start is at the Sony Playstation Network. This is an online community made up of people just like you that own a PSP Go and need some information on something. The website was created and is maintained by Sony so that there are many people there with a wealth of knowledge about all things to do with the PSP Go.

You can find out everything you need to know from issues with your PSP go to a PSP Go update that may be important for you to know about. This is not only limited to getting updates, but as this is run by Sony, you can bet that any updates will be posted on this website before any others. That is why it is a great place to visit on a regular basis, and not just when you are having issues that you need some help with.

This is an excellent website and is very simple to navigate. Just because Sony created it does not mean that it will be a site that only geeks and supremely technologically minded individuals can understand. In fact, the opposite is true. This is a layman’s website. Whether you are searching for a PSP Go update or something of a different nature, anyone can go there to look up a question and find the answer within a matter of seconds to minutes. It depends on how detailed an answer you need as to how long it will take you to extract that answer from the prepared articles found there.

PSP Game System

Friday, January 7th, 2011

The PSP game system has had a very steady following since it was first introduced a few years ago. Sony took the idea of their PlayStation gaming console and turned it into a powerhouse handheld gaming system that most people fell in love with immediately. Although there were a few issues when it first came out, like people complaining about the fact that the controls and buttons were different from its parent console, Sony held out and people eventually welcomed the differences and learned to live with them.

While other gaming companies were busy focusing on their home consoles, the PSP game system took hold with the gamer on the go crowd and started introducing things that most people hadn’t thought possible at the time. One of the many things the PSP offered that other handheld game systems like the Gameboy and DS didn’t have was the online capability. Granted, this was a bit before the modern Wi-Fi access that has become so integral in everyone’s daily life, which meant that it wasn’t as fast as some of the smartphones that are available today. However, it still did its job for those that want to have fun online.

With the changing of technology happening so fast, the redesign of the PSP game system was sure to happen. Not only did Sony improve the internet capability of the PSP, but they gave it a slimmer look and feel plus the ability to be hooked up to a television. Now, you didn’t have to huddle around a small screen, but could play on your own television like you would a regular home console. Add to this the ability to play UMD movies on your television and the once tiny handheld gaming console could in affect become a monster home entertainment system.

PSP Battery Charger

Wednesday, January 5th, 2011

Something that everyone that owns a PSP is going to want is a battery charger. When you sit down and get involved in playing games or whatever activity you prefer to do on the PSP, the PSP battery charger is going to come in quite handy for you. Most likely, you will not have even given a moment’s thought to checking the life of your battery. All you really notice is when it begins to go dead and your game starts slowing down some. Then you know that it is time for a re-charge of your PSP battery.

There are also some other ways to charge your PSP if you do not seem to have access to the PSP battery charger. First of all, there is an option for charging your PSP with the USB port. Simply connect your PSP to a computer or laptop by using the correct USB cable. The negative thing about this method is that it takes up to 3 to 4 hours for it to charge, which is double the time it takes on the battery charger. This method always requires you to buy a PSP USB charging cable.

Now, suppose you are camping and there is no power supply around. There are a few things that can help you out in this situation. Obviously, you won’t be able to use your PSP battery charger. The other answer is a good supply of AA batteries or the rechargeable ones. Be sure to charge these AA batteries before you leave. Then you just install 4 of the AA batteries. This will allow your PSP to run and you to play games.

PSP Go Mesenger

Thursday, December 30th, 2010

If you own a PSP you already know just how much fun it can be. Something that you could have done to make it even more fun is to add the PSP Go Mesenger to the system. This provided the ability to use the extra camera that can be added on to your PSP and chat live with your friends. It may have been a wonderful experience for people in the United States, but Sony trashed the entire project once it became apparent that PSP users were not all that excited about this new addition to the PSP family. In fact, this handy little add on was never even introduced to the US, and that is a sad thing because the excitement generated in the US may have saved the entire project.

The idea behind the PSP Go Mesenger is that it would provide the same features for the PSP that live video chat applications offer the new smart phones currently selling like wildfire. This makes total sense because everyone loves to chat with their friends, and adding video chatting to that makes it even better. The problem was when the video server could not connect fast enough to suit the users. Because of this, there were severe lags in the conversations so people decided it was not worth the effort. This is what made Sony to trash it totally.

While it was a great idea that set the production of the PSP Go Mesenger in motion, it lacked the ability to be as popular as Sony hoped it would be. There were several problems with it, and once the first one presented itself, it was not long before people just decided not to bother with it. The iPhone is also suffering the same fate. When a company comes up with an amazing idea, they better have what it takes to make this idea perform well with the public, or you have a situation such as this one.

PSP Flash

Monday, December 13th, 2010

In order to get your PSP flash content to work correctly, you have to create a flash folder in your root folder and put the flash files in it. You also have to enable flash support through your system settings. Once you have done all of this, you should have no issues in running flash games on your PSP. This will allow you to download flash games online and play them on your PSP for free. There are quite a few sites online that offer flash games for the PSP, and enabling flash lets you play them all, anytime you want to.

PSP flash is just another aspect to this hand held gaming device that makes it one of the highest rated gaming systems in history. Being able to play video games used to be enough for most people, but then Sony did the unthinkable and gave it a media player as well. Now, you can play movies and music over your PSP when you aren’t playing video games. But that’s not all. They also added in the web browser so that you can go online if you want.

Once PSP flash became involved in the gaming world, there was no reason for another hand held gaming system to come out. Sony took the market exactly where it needed to go. This is especially true when you consider the newest portable device, the iPad, doesn’t even allow flash to be run on it. How can you possibly go to a flash based website with an iPad if it isn’t compatible with flash formatting? That is one of the things that Sony considered to be a motivating factor when creating a multimedia gaming system such as the PSP.
