Xbox 360 Price

Saturday, January 15th, 2011

For people that want to buy a new Xbox 360, many times it is the Xbox 360 price that stops them cold in their tracks. All gaming systems carry a pretty high price tag, and the Xbox 360 is no different. That is why you will find all of these systems available in used and refurbished conditions so that people without huge budgets can still afford to own them. Many people will put an Xbox 360 at the top of their wish lists for holidays or birthdays in hopes that someone will actually buy one for them. This may be a smart way to get one but only if someone that will be buying gifts for you has money.

The normal Xbox 360 price now is around $200 for the gaming console alone. This does not include any games. What this means is that you will have to buy such things as games and other accessories like the Kinect, if you want to really maximize your gaming experience with the Xbox 360. All of those things will cost you separately, and you will end up paying quite a lot more money that just $200. Knowing this ahead of time, though, can help you to save enough money for everything that you know you will want.

Whether you decide to get everything separately or find a bundle will have a big impact on what the Xbox 360 price will be that you have to pay. Bundles usually give you more for your money if you can afford to pay out a larger amount of money at once. There are several of these bundles that you can choose from. The prices on these bundles range from around $300 to $500. Some include absolutely everything you need to hook up your new Xbox 360 and start playing right away. Others come in the form of the Xbox and accessories but without any games. It all depends on what works best for you.

Xbox 360 Refurbished

Friday, January 14th, 2011

The Xbox 360 is one of the most popular game consoles in the world today and a lot of gamers want nothing more than to own one of these coveted systems. Many may choose to get an Xbox 360 refurbished console because along with the Xbox 360 and all of the gaming pleasure it brings, also comes a pretty hefty price tag. Of course, it depends on what you get because there are different bundles offered when you buy an Xbox 360. A brand new gaming console will range from $200 to $450. The price of a new console alone is $199 and when you add tax to that, you are paying over $200.

Now, the bundles are more expensive, of course, but they do come with more accessories. These include the Kinect and games. When you get an Xbox 360 that way, you can sit down immediately and begin playing and having fun. With the console only, you better buy a game or two. Otherwise, you will be sitting and admiring your brand new Xbox 360 wishing that you could actually play it. To make it possible to own an affordable system of this kind, the Xbox 360 refurbished is something you should certainly look at prior to making a final decision.

One of the biggest reasons for this is that you can get a refurbished Xbox 360 for around $120. These are just like new and, typically, come with guarantees and warranties. However, of course, those warranties will be much shorter in terms than a brand new one, but if you take really good care of this Xbox 360 you will find that the warranty is not all that important. The only time this would become something to be concerned about is if your Xbox 360 refurbished was not re-worked correctly and something burned out rather quickly. Then you would want to be sure that you got a replacement at no charge to you.

XBox Consoles

Tuesday, January 4th, 2011

There are numerous Xbox consoles available on the market these days, and it all falls to what you truly want and how much you want to spend on your gaming. While some of them may seem a bit pricey to most people, anyone that is an avid gamer will tell you that you are getting much more with the higher price than if you bought these console packages separately. It really falls to personal preference, but there are a few things that you should be aware of when deciding which console will be right for you.

Xbox consoles that come in bundle packages are usually the best way of saving your money. While you may shy away from that larger price tag at first, once you realize that you are not only getting the console, but a game or two as well and even a peripheral such as the Kinect with it, then you would be crazy to spend all the money to buy those things separately. But that isn’t the only thing you have to consider when looking for the perfect console for your gaming needs. You also have to look at how much data they can hold.

Since Xbox consoles save everything in their own hard drives, much like a personal computer or laptop, you have to determine the size you are willing to spend your money on. The 4GB console is going to be about half the price of the 250GB console, so keep this in mind. If you are looking to just get the gaming system, and you’re not into all the downloading and media that is available, the 4GB console would probably do very well for you. Besides, you can always upgrade it later on if you really find that you need the extra space.

Copy XBox 360 Games

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

There are quite a few people in the world of gaming that insist on being able to copy Xbox 360 games so that they won’t be upset in case something happens to their original discs. While this is a perfectly normal thing to want to do, especially for hardcore gamers, it is also considered illegal, and the gaming companies that manufacture these games see it as pirating their software. Even if you have a legitimate reason for making a copy of one of your games, there is the chance that it could land you into a lot of trouble, so be warned.

To copy Xbox 360 games, all you need is a DVD burner and a software program that will allow you to rip and burn the game data to another disc. There are many different programs available online to allow you to copy these games, and other consoles as well. However, you should be extra careful about any kind of program you put on your computer that allows you to bypass disc securities in order to make an illegal copy of it. You never know what you might be installing along with the program, so keep your eyes open.

Most people want to copy Xbox 360 games because they are afraid they might lose or damage their original disc. There are also some people that take gaming to a new extreme and they want to frame their original discs and manuals so they can put them on display. While this may see a bit odd to some people, there are those collectors out there that can completely understand why someone would want to do this, especially with game consoles evolving as fast as they are. It won’t be too long before those framed games are worth a lot of money to someone.

Xbox-360

Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

The Xbox-360 is the newest generation of gaming platforms coming from Microsoft. While Microsoft has the corner in marketing of their personal computers and operating systems, they felt they needed to jump out in a new direction. At the same time, the gaming arena was starting to gain momentum and that is where Microsoft decided to hit the road running. Their computer games have always been a big hit with casual gamers around the world, but Microsoft wanted to take it to the next level and produced the infamous Xbox console system.

The Xbox-360 home gaming console revolutionized gaming around the world in a matter of a few days. While everyone was talking about how great the Playstation systems were, Microsoft snuck in with the Xbox and found a whole new area of marketing that they could attack without mercy. Their gaming system was more personal computer than just a gaming console, and the addition of an online network seemed to pull a lot of gamers over to their side. Of course, the online network required you to pay for the privilege of using it, and the Playstation Network was, and is, completely free.

One of the best things about the Xbox-360 is the fact that they had so many games launched with its release that it almost took over the gaming market the first day it was launched. The only problem now is that people are starting to grow weary of things that bear the Microsoft logo on it, and they are starting to turn to other consoles, namely Nintendo’s Wii system, and turn their backs on the Xbox brand altogether. This was to be expected at some point, but the massive hit of the Xbox can’t be denied just yet.

What Is XBox 360 Kinect

Sunday, December 5th, 2010

So you are wondering what is Xbox 360 Kinect and how does it affect my gaming with the Xbox 360? Well, the simple answer to this question is that the Kinect is a new peripheral that hooks up to the Xbox 360. The overall change to your gaming experience is the fact that you can now play games like you would on the Wii system, but without having to hold onto two controllers to capture your movement. That’s right; the Kinect is a camera based motion detector that has gone rabid.

There are plenty of sites that are asking what is Xbox 360 Kinect, and they are soon learning that it is a whole new way of enjoying your favorite games. But there is also the fact that you can chat through Windows Live Messenger and the videokinect. Being able to have video chat is one thing, but how about being able to watch a movie with your friends while they are at their own homes? That moves this little camera into a new league of its own, and Xbox is smiling all the way to the bank on this idea.

What is Xbox Kinect? Simply put, it’s what the Wii could become one of these days if Nintendo had the proprietary licenses that it needs to create a fully motorized IR camera that records up to 48 points on the human body for motion capture. Instead, the Wii system uses the controllers to record movement. Although they do have a camera based game play scenario as well, it is just not as good as this one from Xbox. This is definitely the future of video games and they already have plenty of titles available to support the new Kinect accessory line.

XBox 360 Controllers

Saturday, December 4th, 2010

One of the most interesting things about the Xbox 360 controllers is the fact that they haven’t really changed too much over the years. Even the Playstation controllers have gone through phases where new additions were made that confused people at first, but the Xbox controller has stayed relatively the same. If you don’t mind how bulky they feel in your hands the first couple of times you use one of these controllers, you will definitely grow to love it sooner rather than later. That feeling is what it’s all about, according to Xbox officials.

The Xbox 360 controllers are rather large when compared to other gaming console controllers. They can feel awkward to the first time user but all controllers have that awkward feeling to them if you have never used one before. Most people seem to think that there are a few too many buttons on an Xbox controller and that it makes it difficult since some games don’t use all those buttons and other games do. Whichever way you feel about it, you are sure to find that the controller will grow on you over time and you will find it difficult to play other consoles.

There are plenty of ways you can dress up your Xbox 360 controllers as well. Many sites offer people the chance to purchase skins and new shells for their controllers that have graphics on them, and even LED lights inside to make them glow. It’s all in how you want to portray your personal gaming experience and what is more comfortable to you. Having the ability to customize your controllers is not something that is strictly for Xbox, but it’s something that can help you feel more comfortable with a bulkier controller, if you are used to smaller ones that easily fit in your hands.

XBox 360 Game Reviews

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010

If you are looking for Xbox 360 game reviews then you better hold on to your hats. You will be amazed at how many sites are dedicated strictly to reviews of Xbox 360 games. In fact, there are so many you might not be able to get through all of them and will have to pick and choose which ones you want to look at based on the amount of time you have to spend on the Internet. That is one of the best things about the Internet; the ability to get and give as much information as you want for any given subject.

Many Xbox 360 game reviews are done in a matter of fact opinion of what the gamer should and should not expect to find while playing said game. While these reviews are good and a lot of people may agree with them, they are still only opinions of what one or two people think about a certain game. If you really want to go only by what is said in a particular review, it is suggested that you try the game out first and see if you agree with that review.

One person may write glowing Xbox 360 game reviews about the games they love to play, but it could be that you aren’t interested in the same types of games. If that is the case, then you will end up spending loads of money on games that you might not enjoy as much as the person writing the review did. The same holds true for not buying a game because one review said it wasn’t any good. It could end up being the most enjoyable game you have ever played in your entire life, and you missed out on it because of a simple review.
