Nintendo DSi is more improved version of the gaming console, very slim but not so fragile, and noticeably lighter than the previous versions. Nintendo DSi is well equipped with dual cameras, large screens (bigger than previous) and with improved version of music players.

Colour range – minimalistic: black and white. (Keep in mind that Nintendo started with just few colours when DS Lite was first unveiled; which means that very soon new colours will arrive: baby blue, pink, gray and many more have been announced and pictured on the official web site).

For gadgets with screens and strong video performance, it is important to have excellent graphics and to be able to adjust brightness, and all that is possible with Nintendo DSi. (LCD is adjustable). If you compare this version to the DS Lite, you will notice that its surface is far less glossy. During the development of the gadget it was made with actual matte finish, instead of glossy one. That is also good news because it means you can say goodbye to fingerprints and hand marks which are so annoying.

If we test the compatibility with DS Lite and Game Boy Advance, we will get different results. Let’s start with the Game Boy Advance. The cartridge for it has been removed from Nintendo DSi, and you will not be able to play these games on this device. But re DS, you will be pleased to know that you can indeed play your old DS games, without any obstacles.

Game Boy Advance fans shouldn’t be sad though. New games for downloading, made especially for Nintendo DSi are excellent, so you won’t miss the old ones for sure. Since GBA cart slot has been removed, Nintendo developers have added an SD memory card slot instead, to new Nintendo DSi.

One more feature Nintendo DSi provides – the joy of downloading games from the DSi Shop with DSiWare (it surely does remind of WiiWare). This online shop is set to be a point system, and it can be used via Nintendo points. Downloaded games can be saved and stored in the internal memory of your DSi, or (which is more handy) on the SD card.

This gadget is also great because it has dual cameras included. You can use a wide range of effects (morphing, mirror effect, framing, adding graphics and illustrations) and customize your precious photos.
Virtues of Nintendo Dsi are countless, so if you are a true gadget fan and games addict, this will be your absolute must have.
