PS3 was released on Japan first and the releasing date was November 11. On 17 November it was released in North America and South America. It was released in Europe on March 2007 and Oceania. When the gizmo was released then there were two types of PlayStation available in the market. The simple model that has a 20 GB storage device and is compatible to Wi-Fi technology. Then there was the premium model with 60 GB storage device with some additional features. Now there are various models available that have different storage amount and it starts from 20 GB and finishes at 160 GB. The time when it was released PlayStation was only available in two models and between them the first one was the basic and the other one was the premium model. The 160 edition is lot different than rest of the models. The newer versions of the older models are different than the original one. Like the new 40 GB edition comes with only 2 USB ports and is more compatible to WiFi. Then it is also available in four different colors. The latest two versions of PS3 are the 120 GB slim and the 250 GB slim edition
The 120 GB is available in Charcoal Black and the 250 GB slim is available in Charcoal Black, Pink and White. These are among some PlayStation differences.

The quality and service provided by them differs and they are available in the different colors depending on their editions. The newer and the slim editions are found in more that one color while the previous editions of PlayStation 3 were only available in black.
