The new Nintendo DSi memory card feature has gone over with differing opinions to say the least. Some people absolutely love the fact that you can download games and play music on your DSi with the use of the memory card while others seem to think that giving up the GBA slot in place of an SD card slot is a bit out of the ordinary. They think that Nintendo is trying to separate itself from the Gameboy crowd by offering people a system that isn’t capable of playing the older cartridges.

The use of a Nintendo DSi memory card is a brilliant move for those people that like to take their DSi’s everywhere they go. Not only can you listen to all of your favorite music from it, but you can also use the gaming system as a camera and take pictures everywhere you take the game. With the memory card you are given extra space, even up to 8GB’s, to store all of your music, pictures, and downloaded games. This is much more space than earlier SD cards that were used in cameras and mobile phones. Times are changing and so are the media storage needs of consumers.

Some people think that by replacing the Gameboy Advance slot with a Nintendo DSi memory card slot was the wrong move for Nintendo to make. These people are diehard Nintendo fans and they feel that Nintendo is taking the DS in the same route that they took the Wii. By offering the ability to download games, you will be getting something that only the DSi can play and no other system can. This has good points and bad points according to some people. Some people like the thought of having exclusive games; others feel that it’s too elitist to force people to buy a new gaming system just to play a game.

Whichever way you think, having a Nintendo DSi memory card is a great addition to an already great gaming system. Having the ability to download games online for a cheaper price might be the one saving grace of charging more for an update DS. Other than the camera and the memory card, there really isn’t anything to distinguish it from the original DS system. They are pretty much the same, and it is just as slim as the DS Lite system, so you aren’t really getting much more.

Nintendo DSi is more improved version of the gaming console, very slim but not so fragile, and noticeably lighter than the previous versions. Nintendo DSi is well equipped with dual cameras, large screens (bigger than previous) and with improved version of music players.

Colour range – minimalistic: black and white. (Keep in mind that Nintendo started with just few colours when DS Lite was first unveiled; which means that very soon new colours will arrive: baby blue, pink, gray and many more have been announced and pictured on the official web site).

For gadgets with screens and strong video performance, it is important to have excellent graphics and to be able to adjust brightness, and all that is possible with Nintendo DSi. (LCD is adjustable). If you compare this version to the DS Lite, you will notice that its surface is far less glossy. During the development of the gadget it was made with actual matte finish, instead of glossy one. That is also good news because it means you can say goodbye to fingerprints and hand marks which are so annoying.

If we test the compatibility with DS Lite and Game Boy Advance, we will get different results. Let’s start with the Game Boy Advance. The cartridge for it has been removed from Nintendo DSi, and you will not be able to play these games on this device. But re DS, you will be pleased to know that you can indeed play your old DS games, without any obstacles.

Game Boy Advance fans shouldn’t be sad though. New games for downloading, made especially for Nintendo DSi are excellent, so you won’t miss the old ones for sure. Since GBA cart slot has been removed, Nintendo developers have added an SD memory card slot instead, to new Nintendo DSi.

One more feature Nintendo DSi provides – the joy of downloading games from the DSi Shop with DSiWare (it surely does remind of WiiWare). This online shop is set to be a point system, and it can be used via Nintendo points. Downloaded games can be saved and stored in the internal memory of your DSi, or (which is more handy) on the SD card.

This gadget is also great because it has dual cameras included. You can use a wide range of effects (morphing, mirror effect, framing, adding graphics and illustrations) and customize your precious photos.
Virtues of Nintendo Dsi are countless, so if you are a true gadget fan and games addict, this will be your absolute must have.

In the recent world scenario of economic downturn it is more often than not that you look for things at slashed prices. Gaming devices are no exceptions. With the growing popularity of these tools a lot of money is riding in this industry. However, it is not always possible to spend huge amounts of money just to obtain a gaming tool for yourself. It is in such situations that you should opt for Nintendo Dsi cheap. This will enable you to derive the pleasure of gaming without having to spend fortunes on it.

One of the best places to look for Nintendo Dsi cheap is of course the Internet. There are several websites that have offers running on these gaming gadgets. Instead of retail stores you will get these at lower prices. At the same time you will get a wide variety of options. Arguably the most convenient way to get a Nintendo console will be to visit eBay. On this website there are second hand Nintendo DS consoles available which you can use initially to get the hang of the tool. Most often these are in great condition, no less than a brand new one! The following tips may guide you through the process:

First you have to fix the amount you intend to spend on this console. This will be referred to as your Top price.

The second step is to run a search for all the Nintendo DS consoles that are available in eBay. The word you need to key in the search tab is ‘Nintendo Dsi’.

This will throw up a list containing the auction amounts and timings. Go for ones where the time is in between 4:45pm and 6pm. This list can further be shortened based on the auction days. Avoid the bids that are entered on the weekends.

You can now place your bid. Be careful of the time at which you do so. The best option is to go for a time where the other bidders are not active. To place the most suitable bid you can take help from online tools like Goofbay. This is called a sniper tool in eBay. This ensures that you get the best deal so that you can easily obtain the gaming console of your choice.

If you want to get a Nintendo Dsi cheap, you need to look around. Going to an international chain store will do little to help your cause. Instead keep a constant check on the discount rates that are often offered in the festive season. The web is your perennial hunting ground. So, don’t miss the opportunity to grab the gaming console you wanted for so long!

Yes. SDHC cards are Compatible with the Nintendo DSI. The normal memory of the DSI is 256 MB which is pretty low compared to the Sony PSP. The PSP has a built in 1 or 2 GB SD Card which is video capable. However the DSI has lots of extra other capabilities such as a camera and easy wireless connection. You don’t need a converter for SDHC cards and SD cards in the DSI however you need a converter for micro SD cards which can be used for video. SD and SDHC cards are fully supported by Nintendo. Simply insert your card in the slot in the back of the DSI to use the card.

Compatibility
Many gamers have been wondering if the Nintendo DSI is compatible with SD and SDHC cards. There has been much discussion the the forums about this. However its official that they supported. Here is the link to information on the Nintendo Website about SDHC cards and SD cards. Nintendo officially supports SDHC cards on the DSI Platform.

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/dsi/en_na/sdCards.jsp#compatible_sd

SDHC Card and Other Memory Card Costs
32 GB SDHC cards can be bought from the Internet for an average price of 70 dollars. I also found micro SD cards which can be used with a converter to play video for around 10 dollars. However the micro SD cards are much smaller around 8 GB on average. Compatibility with SDHC cards is pretty much universal. You can just put in any modern SDHC card and it will it will work. If you have problems just contact Nintendo. The contact information is at the bottom.

SDHC Card Uses
SDHC cards are used save photos from the Nintendo DSI Camera, play AAC Format Audio Files, and copy down loadable software and its data to the SD card. To manage the files saved on the SD card you must use a computer. To play music using the SDHC you first must convert your .mp3 songs to AAC format then save it to your SDHC card. You must do that with your computer. You can download an audio converter online so you can play audio on your DSI. Compatibility with SDHC cards are not really a issue.

SDHC Compatibility Facts
SDHC is compatible with DSI, praise Nintendo for that fact. It allows the puny memory of 256 MB to go up to 32 GB. All If you add a R4i Converter with a micro SD Card you can use the card to watch movies, browse pictures, read e-books,and more. I highly recommend the R4i converter which has been embraced by Nintendo Users World Wide. It is relatively cheap for a gamer around 20 Dollars and is easy to set up. The DSI is compatible with all SDHC and SD cards up to 32 GB. The DSI also can use mini and micro SD cards with a converter. You can read about it on the Nintendo Website. If you have a problem with your DSI Memory Card you can just call the Nintendo Customer Support Number 1-800-255-3700

Some useful Nintendo DSi information may be exactly what you need before you gout and splurge on it. After all, its predecessor the DS Lite is a great gaming console and why then should you buy a DSi if you own a DS Lite already? You may want to read this article if you wish to know in a nutshell, how the DSi has improved over the DS Lite.

The first thing that you will notice with the DSi is its thinner casing. At around 2.6 mm it is about 12% thinner than the DS Lite. It is thinner because the GameBoy Advance cartridge slot is no longer there.

Another useful piece of Nintendo DSi information is regarding the new 3.25 inch dual screens. Even with the larger screens the DSi has the same casing dimensions as the DS Lite. But what the new screens provide is and amazing 17% greater visible screen area though this has a slight adverse effect on the battery life. This can also be attributed to the fact that there are five adjustable brightness settings available.

If you are looking for good sound quality in your handheld console, then the DSi will not disappoint you. It is equipped with dual stereo speakers and also an AAC media player. So now you can listen to your favorite tracks in great sound quality provided that they are in the AAC format. The music files can be sourced from the new integrated SD card slot.

But Nintendo DSi information that will really make you go bonkers is about the new cameras built into the device. This is a ‘first’ for a Nintendo device and there are actually two cameras onboard! One faces the user while the other is bang on the outer casing. So you can snap great pictures of yourself as well as your friends in the blink of an eye.

There is also software onboard that allows you to morph the photos you have taken and you may easily be able to see how you look in a green goatee without actually having one! The 0.3 megapixel resolution of the cameras clearly indicates that Nintendo has included this feature for you to have more fun with the DSi and not for serious photography.

The DSi is also power-packed under the hood with the processor running at 133 MHz, almost twice the speeds of the Ds Lite. It is also equipped with 16 MB of RAM memory and 256 MB of storage memory which is further expandable.

Add to that the ability to connect to the internet and you have a great gaming console in your hands.

Hopefully with such a lot of Nintendo DSi information you will now be thinking about when to get your hands on one. Well, the sooner, the better!

Since there have been games there have been game cheats too and the Nintendo DSi cheats are no exception to that rule. What do you do if you are stuck on that difficult level which, you just have to conquer in order to get a good night’s sleep? Simple enough, you use a cheat code. There has rarely been any game on any console that doesn’t have cheat codes. And there are cheat codes for the Nintendo DSi too even though it hasn’t been there for a long time.

Before we go into that let’s just talk about cheat codes in general. A cheat code is a command which alters the way the game plays and makes it easier for you to compete against the Artificial Intelligence. So your character might become immortal and withstand a nuke without batting an eyelid! But hang on a minute, with the kind of games portable consoles like the Nintendo DSi offer; do you need to cheat at all?

The DSi is a console that was targeted at people who want entertainment without getting into the shoes of a hard-core gamer. The plan was to give the ‘not-so-serious’ gamer a dose of light interactive entertainment. Nintendo Dsi cheats were not supposed to be needed at all.

But as more and more game titles were launched, the DSi cheats too started coming out in numbers. You can guess that whether you use Nintendo DSi cheats depends on what is your attitude towards the game. If it’s something like, ‘I have to win this game at all costs’ then you may have to take the help of cheats. And what is the downside of using cheats?

In gaining an advantage over the AI by using cheat codes, you end up finishing the game really fast. So you actually miss out on the purpose the game designed: some interactive fun. And moreover DSi software is not all cheap and finishing a game quickly is quite akin to burning up your hard earned money.

But not all is bad a bout using cheats. Sometimes game manufacturers put in an extra element of difficulty in their games to keep the gamer hooked on for that much longer. This can be really irritating sometimes and before you are contemplating on throwing your DSi console across the room, you might as well punch in a few cheat codes to lessen the anger and get on with the game. But just where you get stuck and not always, because then it can spoil the fun.

So use your skill and imagination to play the games and add that dash of Nintendo DSi cheats where it is absolutely necessary, to have that great gaming experience.

Have you visited the brand new website named nintendodsi.com launched by Nintendo to promote its new DSi console? If you want comprehensive information about the new console as well as the games and peripherals that come with it, then this is the site to log on to. After all what information is better than that coming straight from the horses’ mouth!

So what does nintendodsi.com offer you? Lots, to put it simply.

The main page has an interactive flash presentation on the DSi, running on it. Just let it play you immediately get to know what’s new in the DSi. You get to know that Nintendo DSi has tied up with Facebook thus enabling you to easily upload photos from the DSi to your Facebook profile. There’s even a video that shows you some highlights of the Nintendo DSi.

Staying with the main page, there are separate links to the DSi as well as the previous DS Lite. This has been done probably for ease of comparison between the two consoles. If you want to know ‘which one is right for you?’ (as the website says) then this is the feature you may want to use.

You also have a link which tells you that you can get some free downloadable games from the Nintendo Shop once you have purchased the DSi.

Now, delving deeper into nintendodsi.com you can get a great deal of information if you click the link titled ‘Nintendo DSi.’ Here the two major strengths of the Dsi are highlighted. While one link on this page will tell you all about the new camera and its amazing features, another tells you about the playback capability of the DSi. Both links have embedded videos for those of you like the story being told with sound and moving images.

On the same page you have a link which enables you to know about the DSi Shop and the various other applications that are available for enhancing the DSi. For example something called the ‘Flipnote Studio’, has been discussed.

The site also contains the most important information that gamers like you and me need. What are the games available? The site has a link which lists the recently released games as well as some bestsellers. But if you want more then you can follow a link which lists all commercially available games for the Nintendo DSi. Needless to say information about the price and download terms is also provided for each individual game.

You can purchase the DSi online via this site if you so wish.

The best thing about this site other than the appealing aesthetics and smooth design is that it does not come out as a promotional website, loudly hawking the product. So log on to nintendodsi.com today, and have a nice browsing experience.
