If you’re tired of the classic look of the original Nintendo Dual Screen or Nintendo DS, you might like to try other new colors, particularly the flashy Nintendo DS Lite Ice Blue. This features one of the most modern and advanced looks to date. Nintendo, over the years, has changed the way games are being played by people. Now, people ages 4 to 74 can enjoy both old and new games regardless of the time and location.

Why It’s Special

Nintendo introduces the DS Lite Ice Blue, which is a Limited Edition portable video game console with Wi-Fi capabilities. It also comes with an excellent carrying case and the game Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day. The game included in the package was inspired by a Japanese neuroscientist, named Professor Ryuta Kavashina. Dr. Kavashina’s theories focus a lot in performing different mental activities like counting individuals moving in and out of a home, reading aloud classic literature, solving math problems and drawing pictures. All these are said to keep the brain very functional and young.

More Things to Expect

If you invest in the Nintendo DS Lite Ice Blue, you can expect the fully charged system to provide you with 19 hours of nonstop game play and capabilities. You can also link it via the Wi-Fi capabilities to play real time multiplayer games with other individuals or even communicate and chat with using the Nintendo DS headset. The dual screens and touch-screen technology allows you to join and interact in games.

Every 3-inch screen can give you true 3D view with very detailed and well-defined 3D rendering. The lower screen gives you touch screen capabilities, not yet offered by any other gaming console. You get to navigate various menus and access different inventory systems by just touching the screen using a fingertip or the stylus. You can also expect a built-in microphone link, which will let you manage your games. The game has to be voice compatible first to use this feature.

Overall Assessment

The Nintendo DS Lite Ice Blue provides you great value for your money. Its compatibility with other Game Boy Advance games is big plus. Nintendo DS wants players to enjoy their old games just the same using the new system. However, the old games will only allow you to play single player. The ice blue Nintendo DS Lite has wireless communication, including the Picto Chat. You should be careful when using this feature since you can present personal information. This makes for a great gift for everyone.

Now, you don’t need to go out and buy the guitar to play Guitar Hero. All you have to do is use the touch screen like you would the guitar and you are rocking with the best musicians around. Since it’s so easy to use, anyone can be a guitar hero without worrying about holding a large controller to play a video game.

The Guitar Hero DSi Nintendo edition game is much like the versions you get on home based gaming systems. Of course, you won’t need to have the guitar to play it. Instead, you use the touch screen for the pick and the buttons from the fret board attachment as the keys. Using the special guitar pick stylus allows you to strum along with the best rockers in the world and gives you a strange feel of authenticity that the standard guitars can’t give you with what is, basically, a large switch that you hit with your thumb.

If you love playing Guitar Hero then you will go crazy for the Guitar Hero DSi Nintendo version. Most people have said that they feel the game is much better on a portable device like the DSi because it gives you that feel of actually playing the guitar. However, the screen is a bit small, so you don’t get the same awareness of detail that home gaming systems can give to you while you are playing. The speakers aren’t all that great either, so you can’t really crank up the music as much as you may like. But that is the price you have to pay in order to play a game on a portable device.

The Guitar Hero DSi Nintendo edition game comes with the fret board that attaches securely to your DSi system so that it won’t slip off. It also has the game itself and the pick stylus to allow you to strum the guitar on the touch screen. It really is an amazing cross over from a game that was purposely built to play on home systems that are hooked up to large TV’s. Users of this game on the Nintendo DSi have had nothing but great remarks for it as well. It really is a game you should try.

There are times when it can slip out of your hands and possibly break the shell or pop one of the hinges off, or it might just be worn down from age and use. There are many reasons to get a replacement shell, even some that are personalized specifically for you if you don’t mind spending a bit extra. There are plenty of sites online that offer up great prices for replacement shells.

Nintendo DS Lite shell replacement videos can be found online that show you step by step how to change out your DS shell so that it’s easier for you to change it out if you never have before. These shells come in a multitude of colors so that you can change them out from time to time if you feel like it. While these aren’t as simple as snapping on a new skin for your system, the shells can be customized to make it more unique. This also comes in handy if you need to replace things, like one of your screens, as it gives you a good working knowledge of how to take it apart.

Some sites online offer Nintendo DS Lite shell replacement kits what have been personalized by the people that order them. This gives you the ability to get a shell replacement that is completely unique from any other one out there. Replacing the shell can be a bit tricky if you don’t know what you are doing. Some people have ruined their DS altogether because something happened when they replaced the shell and they couldn’t fix it.

The Nintendo DS Lite shell replacement kit can be purchased from just about any store that sells the DS gaming system. You can find them online as well, so it’s easy to find one that you like. Once you replace your shell the first time, you will find that it’s a bit easier than you think to change it out again. When your skins wear out or get old and you still want to spruce it up a bit, you can replace the shell instead. This will come in handy if you want to change your shell out or if you need to repair some part of your shell and keep it personal.

One of the best gaming consoles available nowadays is the Nintendo Wii. Previously known as the Nintendo Revolution prior to its release announcement in 2006, the Nintendo Wii is a successor to the Nintendo Game Cube. Today any Nintendo Wii news spreads like wildfire owing to the fact that every gamer is crazy about this console. Graphic may not be the strength of this console but, its unique game-play sets it far apart from the rest.

Also called the ‘wiimote’, the controller in a Nintendo Wii is a hand-pointing device which can detect motion in all three dimensions. It also contains a rumbling device and a speaker to aid the user. No wonder, the Nintendo Wii is fast becoming ‘the’ console for all gaming freaks!

The Nintendo Wii controller includes a conventional Wii box with an adapter, a cradle (to mount the console in vertical direction), a sensor bar and a set of composite AV cables. The console itself is very small and perhaps the lightest of all the new generation gaming consoles. The Nintendo Wii news telecasts have always focused on the portability and the diverse functions of the console. In fact people look forward to news about the Wii simply to find out whether any new features have been introduced.

There are however a few similarities that a Nintendo Wii shares with its other competitors. For example, you can both horizontally and vertically position the Nintendo Wii. You also have a slot-loading mechanism in the console which accepts the Wii discs and the older Nintendo Game Cube discs without the help of an adapter. In 2008, there was another piece of Nintendo Wii news which said that WiiWare and Virtual Console games could be played off an SD card. Thus the criticism and uproar about its lack of storage also died down significantly.

The biggest incentive on offer with a Nintendo Wii is the sports game that comes bundled with the package. This infectious game is a part of the gaming console, so you do not have to shell out extra bucks to buy this game. Most of the Nintendo games support up to 4 players at one time. Players can swap the console back and forth for each game, but playing multi-player games on the machine would require more controllers. The Nintendo Wii has been upgrading its console constantly. So, keep an eye on Nintendo Wii news and updates to have a clearer idea on the latest configurations of this console.

Whenever you are looking for some Nintendo DS Lite on Sale one of the very first things that will usually enter your mind is the price. Surely, during these times of economic and financial crisis, it will be really wise if you are going to think about your spending habits especially with something like a gaming console. Well, you cannot really sacrifice the fun and entertainment that it can give so you are willing to spend a little just so you can buy this popular device. However, there is really no need for you to worry about the cost because there are several ways so that you can purchase it even without you having to splurge too much on your savings.

You can never deny that everywhere you will look at there is always some Nintendo DS on sale. And for several years more and more peopel are still looking for it and the demand has never really seen any significant decline. This is an indication as to how many people have seen the good things about this device and several more people are willing to try it out.

One of the most important things that you will have to think about if you are looking for Nintendo DS Lite on sale and on a bargain is that you have to have the right timing. There are those who are in a rush and wanted to have the console right in their hands while it is still hugely in demand. They want to be always in style and they do n o want to be left out. They are usually willing to pay for whatever the price the merchant had asked which is very unwise. There are also those who are willing to sit and wait for a while until they can see the best opportunity for them to purchase.

If you are just going to think about it, you have to admit that the demand will never be the same as to when it was first released and so the price will have a tendency to decline. Slowly, the price will decline until it is so cheap that anyone can already buy it. However, this does not mean that you will have to wait for years just so you can finally find one but a much better model had already come out.

There is a much better way for you to look for a Nintendo DS Lite on sale that is on a bargain and it is through the different auction sites that you can find through the internet.

Nintendo has always avoided the usual advertising activities and has tried to do something new. They have invented newer means of advertising for their games and products. They have always been successful when it comes to promoting the products for their innovative advertising ideas. Now they have found a newer means of advertising and that is Youtube which is indeed one of the most visited sites in the world and probably has the biggest archive of videos. Now this thing is known as Youtube Nintendo.

Youtube Nintendo sounds like a product and if it is thought from a different angle then it is indeed a product: a product to advertise. Internet Mughols are now emphasizing video marketing. The highest ranked companies are doing so as well in order to sustain in the highly competitive business world. The perfect and most appropriate application for the video marketing is this Youtube Nintendo thing. It is great that they are finally choosing ways like this to promote their product.

Earlier companies started giving advertises inside the game which was shown as a part of the game scenario. Sometime they use to add a trailer of the upcoming game to the end of another game. These things are effective but not as much as video marketing.

As people use Youtube to search for all kinds videos they also search for game trailers. The trailers were previously uploaded by the normal gamers and people used to see them and judge them. Now Nintendo has taken the responsibility to upload the trailers. They now upload trailers and upload advertise. It serves two purposes and one of the two is that it can do the job of advertising and number two is that people get more attracted to them. Usually the gamer’s uses more time on internet than the time they on TV. So advertising on the internet is surely helpful and if that is done on a site like Youtube then it is going to be a killer combination.

Gamers are always thirsty for Nintendo games and they are willing to taste every part of it. Now as they can see the advertises for free and Nintendo can broadcast the add for free it is beneficial to both the gamers and Nintendo. Gamers are really overwhelmed with the idea and they have warmly welcomed the super innovative and probably the most efficient marketing idea of this time.

Nintendo Games At A Much Smaller Price

Gaming is the new frenzy of the generation. In this fast paced world no one really has the time to go for live games. So this virtual world has become almost indispensable when it comes to the domain of recreation. But given that this is also an era of economic downturn, shelling out huge amounts of money for games do not seem to be a viable option. So the best way to get hold of your favorite Nintendo games is to either download them or copy them from those who already have the same.

You might be wondering how you can copy a video game. It is partly true that most of the times you will face difficulties when you try to make a duplicate of the Nintendo games. This is because the software you are using is probably not developed to decipher the games. In such a case you need to get hold of software which can read the encrypted data of these games. A number of such software are doing the rounds in the market. So you don’t really need to hunt hard for them. Once you have one of these game copying software you can easily copy and keep your favorite Nintendo games for back up.

You can also download the software from the web. Most often the original game CDs are designed in a way that they cannot be copied. The software helps you to unravel the game and stores it temporarily in your PC. After this you need to insert a CD or a DVD inside the drive which is then burnt and the content copied thereafter. The sound and the picture quality are likely to be no less than the original unless you have stumbled on corrupt content. Nintendo games are entertaining and interactive at the same time. So you don’t want to part ways with them deterred by this risk. Be careful about the matter that you copy. Once the quality is ensured you won’t be able to distinguish between an original and a duplicate. Another thing that you need to keep in mind is that when you copy a content you have to save it as an ISO and not an EXE or the like. Only ISO files are compatible with the Wii modem of the Nintendo games.

Nintendo DS Lite games like Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, New Super Mario Bros., the Phoenix Wright series, and the likes are highly enjoyable experiences, but they are meant for veteran gamers who are familiar with the earlier incarnations of the said games from earlier consoles in the days of yore.

But what about entry-level gamers? Are there Nintendo DS Lite games for casual folks who just want an easy-to-pick-up title for a few minutes, if not a few hours, of fun and excitement?

Indeed, there are! Here are 5 such Nintendo DS Lite games:

1. Rhythm Heaven. Rhythm Heaven is one of the biggest Nintendo DS Lite games for 2009, and this is saying much for a game built for casual play. Rhythm Heaven is actually a collection of mini-games that use a rhythm and beat mechanic which is easy to pick up and play. Using the stylus, you can tap or flick on the screen to match the music that the game will play. It is highly addictive and is a “must have” game for your collection – regardless of whether you’re a casual gamer or a hardcore player.

2. Professor Layton and the Curious Village. Even casual gamers will find Nintendo DS Lite games that present straightforward puzzles boring. Professor Layton and the Curious Village is an exception. The title presents a series of story-driven puzzles. These puzzles are always within the context of the story and are needed to be solved to advance the same. The result is a highly engaging game that is very, very exciting – something which you can rarely say for a puzzler.

3. New York Times Crosswords. Admittedly, this is one of the few Nintendo DS Lite games which are not for everyone. But if you just can’t dig saving princesses or shooting at invading aliens, and if you just want a game that presents simple layouts of challenges that you can solve, then the New York Times Crosswords is the perfect title for you. The New York Times is known for 2 things: well written content and highly challenging crossword puzzles. You won’t be receiving the content, but you will have access to hundreds of crosswords that will keep you busy for hours.

4. Brain Age 1 and 2. Two games that actually make you smarter. The Brain Age titles are meant to improve your cognitive functions through a series of mental challenges that stimulate and sharpen your faculties. These mini-games can be played anywhere and everywhere, as solving them can be as easy and as quick as a few seconds of your time – unless of course you’re stumped because you’re applying the wrong logic or you’re viewing things the wrong way.

5. Diner Dash. Diner Dash is one of the Nintendo DS Lite games that have created an entirely new genre of video gaming: the time management gaming niche. In Diner Dash, you play the role of Flo, an entrepreneur who just started her own restaurant. Strapped for cash, Flo serves as a waitress for her restaurant, and the player is supposed to balance her various duties so that restaurant patrons won’t get impatient. Sounds simple, but the game play is a stroke of pure genius. Without a doubt, Diner Dash is one of the most addictive Nintendo DS Lite games available today.

Exclusives. This is the strength of Nintendo, and consequently, this is the strength of its latest video gaming console: the Nintendo Wii. Properties like Mario, Luigi, Link, Zelda, Samus, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Pikachu, Pokemon, and Kirby are staples of every generation Nintendo system. Newly rejuvenated franchises like Punch Out and Kid Icarus are excellent additions to the current roster. And new properties like Animal Crossing are guaranteed to bring in new fans for the company.

Hence, it should come as no surprise that the 4 “must own” Wii games on our list will involve these properties that will never appear for any other companies. Only Nintendo Wii (and maybe even Nintendo DS) owners will be able to enjoy them.

Let’s take a look at the 4 Nintendo Wii games that no Wii owner should do without.

1. Super Mario Galaxy. Super Mario 64 for the N64 revolutionized the platforming genre by evolving the gaming experience into a 3D environment. Super Mario Galaxy takes the evolution a little further. You won’t be running across a flat surface and jumping over occasional obstacles anymore. This time, you’ll be running around an entire – albeit conveniently smaller – planet. Indeed, Wii games are rendering surfaces into spherical planes these days, and Super Mario Galaxy is at the forefront of the revolution. Add to the foregoing is SMG’s highly addictive game play and very fulfilling rewards system and you have one of the best Wii games available in the market today.

2. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Being a launch title, this installment of the long running – and highly acclaimed – Zelda series had the weight of the work on its shoulders. Well, it eventually proved to be the bestselling title among the many Wii games available at launch, thanks to its pedigree. The sales for the title was so strong that industry experts believed that it was able to compel many people to buy the Nintendo Wii, building the momentum that the console has enjoyed and has never relinquished to this very day.

3. Super Mario Bros. Brawl. Imagine each and every character owned by Nintendo who have appeared in exclusive NES, SNES, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, N64, Gamecube, DS and Wii games ever released, appearing in one title – a fighting game for the ages. Link vs. Mario? Consider it done. Bowser vs. Donkey Kong? Let their battle decide who is the best big guy in Nintendo Land. Princess Mushroom vs. Luigi? It’s time for the green-attired plumber to prove that he’s not the sissy that everyone paints him to be. Super Mario Bros. Brawl remains the highest rated among the Wii games released so far, a testament to the quality and fun that are present in the game.

4. Mario Kart Wii. Speaking of fun, Mario Kart Wii promises to provided countess hours of enjoyment for the entire family. The games belonging to the Mario Kart series rank among the best driving games in the industry. Mario Kart Wii is no exception. Like many other Wii games, Mario Kart Wii makes excellent use of the Wiimote’s motion sensing capabilities. Hold the Wiimote sideways and pretend that it’s the steering wheel, and you’re all set to go!

5 Nintendo DSi Games To Look Forward To In 2009

The Nintendo DSi – the logical evolution to the DS and the DS Lite – is finally here. This means brighter screens, a lighter and sleeker design, dual cam, better audio playback, an external storage space and faster processing courtesy of a bigger RAM for Nintendo’s flagship handheld. But do these features matter if the company cannot publish Nintendo DSi games that people will love to get their hands on?

2009 is a pivotal year for video game consoles – handhelds or otherwise. It’s the chance for that last giant push to be associated with dominance over this decade and for that great head start going to the next. Hence, there are some big Nintendo DSi games lined up towards the latter part of this year, Nintendo DSi games which the company hopes will capture people’s imagination and gaming dollars.

Here are the 5 Nintendo DSi games that will help define the legacy of the handheld for the decade that’s about to end:

1. Legend of Zelda: Spirit Links. Indeed, a new Legend of Zelda game is coming to the Nintendo DSi. Announced during the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2009, the new Zelda is a direct sequel to the highly acclaimed Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. This time, however, Link will be riding trains instead of ships.

2. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Dubbed as a “midquel” to the Kingdom Hearts games, this Nintendo DSi entry promises to connect the first PS2 Kingdom Hearts title with its sequel on the same platform and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the Gameboy Advance. It’s Disney characters plus Square-Enix characters. This is one of the few Nintendo DSi games that are sure to be guaranteed hits even before they are released.

3. Front Mission 2089: Border of Madness. Liked Advance Wars? It’s time to embrace the newest incarnation of the game’s inspiration. Front Mission is the pioneer of the sci-fi/military-themed turn-based strategy games this side of Final Fantasy Tactics. And it’s making a comeback – a big one at that! The new Front Mission is one of the most eagerly anticipated Nintendo DSi games for this year (or early 2010, if translation takes a little bit longer). If it’s as good as the SNES entries, then this game is going to be one for the ages!

4. Dragon Quest IX. The release of Final Fantasy XIII for the Sony PS3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360 is being delayed pending the release of the 9th installment of the game that introduced console RPGs to the world. Indeed, the newest installment of Dragon Quest is coming to – of all places – the Nintendo DSi! Such is a testament to how much Square-Enix believes in the Nintendo DSi as a viable and trustworthy gaming platform. Dragon Quest IX is truly one of the Nintendo DSi games that will define the handheld for many years to come.

5. Guitar Hero 2: Modern Hits. The first Guitar Hero Mobile has been made incompatible with the new Nintendo DSi, because the upgraded system has done away with the Gamboy cartridge slow which is where the game’s peripheral is inserted. The sequel promises absolute compatibility with the Nintendo DSi, with the guitar-like add-on to be plugged “somewhere else” on the DSi unit.

Excited about these Nintendo DSi games? We know we are!
