Even a self-proclaimed gaming expert will tell you that your choice of controllers will determine how much you enjoy your gaming sessions! Well you do not need to despair over this simple choice. Just read on for some useful information.
The new SIXAXIS wireless controller is simply a gamer’s delight. It’s simple enough to use and is compatible with most common TV sets and even some PC monitors! It can be charged in a jiffy via a USB charging cable that automatically charges it when connected to the console.

So if you charge these PS3 controllers for some time you can actually enjoy a long period of uninterrupted wireless gameplay!

What’s more, the technology named Enhanced Data Rate, powered by Bluetooth 2.0, allows the controller to read movements from real time and transfer them onto the screen! So when you move left the character you are controlling on screen makes a similar movement. The key settings have been also modified for a more dynamic control.

It also offers a faster rate of data transfer than most other controllers with an amazing 10 bitrate even when you are using the analog mode.

But, if do not want to lose the touch and feel of your old PS2 controller, then you may want to go for the Dualshock 3 wireless controller. Upto seven players can play together with the help of this controller. With a newly designed keypad which is more pressure sensitive you can actually feel the rush on your fingertips!

Add to that the patented ‘Force Feedback’ technology that allows you to experience the shudder of every collision and the ripple of every blast onscreen and you have a sure winner. The Dualshock 3 PS3 controllers are the best bet if you are looking for an engrossing gaming experience.

The PS3 happens to be more than just a gaming console. It is a complete multimedia center with amazing web prowess. If you want to harness this unique side of the PS3 then you may want to go for a wireless keypad controller.

The PlayStation 3, commonly known as PS3 is the third in the Playstation video game series, produced by Sony Computer Entertainment. The PlayStation 3 offers stiff competition to Nintendo’s Wii and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 as a part of the seventh generation video game consoles. The wireless Sixaxis and DualShock 3 are the 2 PS3 controllers.

The Sixaxis Wireless Controller was the official wireless controller of PS3 which was later succeeded by DualShock 3 Controller.

The word “Sixaxis” is a contraction of “six axis” which signifies directional movements. It is also meant to signify motion sensitive technology. It may be noted that the word “Sixaxis” is a palindrome.

These wireless PS3 controllers can operate up to 30 hours on charging them to their full capacity only once. The battery is fully removable. Sixaxis come with the instructions of how to go about the process.

A major feature of Sixaxis controllers is their ability to sense both translational acceleration as well as rotational orientation along all the three dimensional axes. This provides these controllers 6 degrees of freedom.

Sixaxis controllers have LED lights on the right. On the top of the controller you will find numbered LED port indicators which are four in number. They identify and distinguish multiple wireless PS3 controllers. After you turn on the PS3, you can open up the menu displaying the battery charge of all the controllers which are in sync, by pressing the PS button. And this is only one of the options displayed on the menu.

These PS3 controllers feature finer analog sensitivity than DualShock 2 which is the immediate predecessor of DualShock 3 mentioned earlier. They increase the 8 – bit precision of the DualShock 2 to a 10 – bit precision. The frame beneath the L2 and R2 buttons has been done away with. These buttons have been made trigger – like. The range of travel determines the degree of analog input rather than the range of pressure. There is a jewel like “PS button” with the PlayStation logo in place of the “Analog” mode button which can be found on earlier dual analog models. This enables these controllers to switch inputs, turn the consoles or the controllers on or off, access the home menu, etc.

The DualShock 3 is a vibration – feedback gamepad by Sony for PS3. The DualShock was first introduced as a secondary peripheral for the original PlayStation. An improved PlayStation version came with the controller that was originally incorporated in the Sony Dual Analog Controller as well as the hardware. The DualShock 3 wireless PS3 controllers include all the features of Sixaxis along with rumble capabilities.
