Playstation 3 Vs Xbox 360 Round 2 Battle Of The Motion Control Systems

Are you ready for Playstation 3 vs Xbox 360, Round 2?

What used to be a battle for better graphics, better game play, better online multiplayer experience and better storyline modes has taken a cue from the runaway leader of the current generation of consoles, the Nintendo Wii. The battle has graduated from a number crunching war involving processing power, onboard memory and polygons per second into a more practical war involving, you guessed it, motion control systems.

The Nintendo Wii presented a new way of enjoying games: making one’s body the controller. Using a motion sensing controller, the Wii introduced new game play mechanics that attracted previous non-gamers into the fold and gave birth to an entirely new generation of video game enthusiasts collectively labeled as casual gamers.

6 Reasons Why You Should Invest On A Bigger Xbox 360 Hard Drive

Since the New Xbox Live Experience was implemented a few months ago, the Xbox 360 hard drive became an even more important component of the console.

As you may remember, the Xbox 360 can be bought in a variety of packages, one of them being the Arcade package where you will get the console, a controller, a predetermined game, 2 Xbox arcade games, and a memory card. That’s right, the Arcade bundle doesn’t come with an Xbox 360 hard drive to make the package more affordable and more attractive for budget-challenged gamers.
Guess what? The Xbox 360 Arcade bundle won’t cut it anymore.

Since the advent of the New Xbox Live Experience, the Xbox 360 hard drive has ceased being a mere enhancement peripheral. The Xbox 360 hard drive has become a necessity.
Why is this so?

Xbox 360 Vs PS3 Head To Head

Gamers who have decided to finally – albeit 3 years late – give up their Xbox and Playstation 2 units and hop aboard the next generation of consoles have 3 options available for them: the Nintendo Wii, the Microsoft Xbox 360, and the Sony Playstation 3. The Wii, as many people say, is a console for casual gamers. It will offer a lot of innovative game mechanics, but if you grew up exploring tombs as Lara Croft or shooting aliens as Master Chief, you will crave for more conventional but highly improved video game systems.

Hence, for old fashioned gamers, the battle boils down to Xbox 360 vs PS3.

What console is better? Which is a safer investment? The battle of Xbox 360 vs PS3 will be waged in 5 fronts. Let’s take a look at each and every one of them to determine what gaming console is worth your loyalty.

Nintendo Wii Price Drop Is It Possible For 2009

As of this writing, the Nintendo Wii price is pegged at $249.99 SRP. Not bad, really, for a console that is dominating the sales charts and has the deepest library of games among the current generation of consoles.

But many people are still hoping – praying, even – for a Nintendo Wii price drop before Christmas of 2009. After all, the console is on its 3rd year in the market – which, in industry terms, means that the system is currently at the peak of its expected 5 to 7 year life cycle – and now is the best time to own one.

But is a Nintendo Wii price drop possible for 2009? Alas, that is THE question!

5 Xbox 360 Exclusives That May Find Their Way To The Play Station 3

The current generation of console war between Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s Play Station 3 has its nasty side.  There are reports of companies paying game developers so that the latter’s games will be exclusively released in their systems.

However, in the fickle world of video game entertainment, there are no permanent alliances.  Look at Nintendo and Square.  Look at Nintendo and Sony.  Look at Microsoft and Rare.  Look at Microsoft and Bungie Soft.

They may be Xbox 360 exclusives today, but it’s only a matter of time before these 5 titles will appear on the Sony Play Station 3:

Common Fixes For Known Xbox 360 Glitches

The Xbox 360 is quite popular for its amazing processing power, fantastic graphics, multimedia functionalities, and its deep library of games.  It is also known for its exclusives, like Halo, Fable, Mass Effect, Gears of War, Left 4 Dead, Banjo Kazooie, and the likes.

What the Xbox 360 isn’t known for is reliability.  Simply put, the console is considered as a cursed system that is riddled with a variety of Xbox 360 glitches.

If it weren’t for these Xbox 360 glitches, the console would be dominating the sales charts on a consistent basis.  But because of these Xbox 360 glitches, people doubt whether or not the console is a good investment.  The Xbox 360 isn’t cheap, by any means, and people don’t want to spend their hard earned cash on something that has a 16% chance (according to Microsoft, but third party estimates climb as high as 65%) of breaking down within the first 2 years.

Looking For Xbox 360 Cheats

Not everyone is a hardcore gamer.  No everyone can spend countless hours every day in front of his Xbox 360 just to finish games, unlock achievements, play multiplayer matches, and brag about his accomplishments by just hanging out at Xbox Live so that people can check out his game stats.  Most people have day jobs or school or family or other commitments.  They need to enjoy their games quickly, and they need to finish their titles fast.  To do this, they may throw away their gamers’ pride and resort to Xbox 360 cheats.

Most Xbox 360 games have Xbox 360 cheats.  A majority of them were deliberately implemented by the designers themselves to give gamers the option to take the easier, albeit less rewarding, way.  Actually, these so-called “Xbox 360 cheats” were placed in games to help developers test out the title during development.  It will be quite difficult looking for bugs while juggling 3 lives and no 1ups, after all.  Infinite lives may be better.  God mode would simply own.

There are many places on the internet where you can find Xbox 360 cheats for the titles you own.  Here are 4 of the more popular websites dedicated to hosting Xbox 360 cheats:
