When we say video games, a lot of women don’t understand the fun and the experience that most men and children feel. For women, “video games” represent everything that is wrong with today’s society. Women do not comprehend why lots of men park themselves for hours just to watch and play Wii video games. They do not appreciate why guys play those video games like it is an everyday necessity. They don’t know why young children throw tantrums when they don’t get to play a video games. When you try to turn off the a video game during the most critical time of the game or during height of the game, children will eventually hate you for doing so.
To most women, Wii video game have taken away something that is very important to them – quality time. Instead of having quality time with their men/husbands and children, they cannot spend enough time because their heads and neck are already drawn to the video games. Though you might consider video game as the thieves of your supposed quality time, there are also some things that you can get out of these video games such as:
Wii video games tend to get everyone involved – unlike other boring video games, the Nintendo Wii allows everyone to get involved with the game since the wireless remote allows only hand movements apart from the fact that it can be used from as far as 30 feet. Instead of just sitting down and press the old boring remote control, Nintendo Wii invites people to stand up and do something. This is something you have been trying to make the children to do for years – to stand up and do something. In fact, some senior centers have found out that Wii can actually help the elderly become active while having some fun at the same time.
Family Fun – when you think that Wii video games will steal your family quality time, then you are very wrong. Take time to reevaluate and think of all the fun and advantages that the video game can give you. When you play a video game, you can make your kids and your partner to get involved and compete with each other. You can even consider setting up a video game night and invite some friends over to your house. Choose a sport that you want to play, and the rest of the people and get some finger foods ready. This will somehow make your video game experience more enjoyable and memorable.
Instead of blaming Wii video games, because you don’t have any family quality time anymore, use it to your advantage. Use it during your family quality time.
